The Johnson County Friends Feeding Friends board met last week to plan for the future.
The board’s ultimate goal is to continue feeding children who might otherwise go hungry. Within that venture lies individual opportunities, like fundraisers, community outreach and trainings, and the board discussed ways to sustain its efforts and, in the process, better serve the community.
The board is putting the final touches on its strategic plan and will be ready to share with the community in the coming months. As always, we welcome community feedback and involvement. We feel fortunate to live in such a supportive community. It is because of continued donations, grants and volunteers that Friends Feeding Friends continues to thrive.
