Johnson County Friends Feeding Friends is ramping up its efforts to feed more food insecure children thanks to the Hazel Patterson Memorial Endowment Fund.
Friends Feeding Friends recently received a grant from the fund, which is managed by the Wyoming Community Foundation. Friends Feeding Friends is a nonprofit organization serving food-insecure children in Johnson County. The organization reaches, on average, 160 children throughout the county.
The grant funds received will help purchase food for weekend meals and fill food pantries in the schools.
“We are so thankful to be awarded the Hazel Patterson grant for 2020,” said Heather Haas, JC-FFF board president. “This grant, along with additional generous community support, helps us continue to grow as an organization. JC-FFF is blessed.”
