Have you been wanting to give your time to a good cause? Are you looking to give back to our local community? Johnson County Friends Feeding Friends is looking for a volunteer to handle our plastic bag recycle program. Our program recycles these bags by using them to send food home with hungry kids on the weekends. We are passionate about recycling and being kind to Mother Earth.
Duties would include
- Checking the three blue recycle bins located at DJ’s Thriftway, Lynn’s Superfoods and Cloud Peak Elementary once a week.
- Replacing the plastic liner with a fresh one.
- Sorting through the bags, flattening them and rubber banding them in piles of ten.
- Delivering them to Friends Feeding Friends packing facility located in the basement of Cotant Dentist Office. 620 S. Main Street in Buffalo.
