Buffalo, WY – July 17, 2024 – Johnson County Friends Feeding Friends is delighted to announce that it has received generous donations of $2,000 from both the PRECorp Foundation and Basin Electric. These contributions, totaling $4,000, will be directed towards the Friends Feeding Friends Bread Project.
The Bread Project is an integral part of the Friends Feeding Friends initiative, which aims to combat food insecurity in Johnson County. The funds will be used to purchase a bread product such as bagels, tortillas or English muffins, which are sent home bi-weekly in the weekend food bags. This project ensures that local families have access to fresh, nutritious food, which is essential for maintaining a healthy diet and overall well-being.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support from PRECorp Foundation and Basin Electric,” said Breean Waller, Program Coordinator for Johnson County Friends Feeding Friends. “These donations will help us continue our mission of providing essential food items to those in need within our community. Fresh bread is a vital component of our weekend food bags, and this funding will enable us to ensure that no family goes without this basic necessity.”
The PRECorp Foundation and Basin Electric have long been supporters of community initiatives, and their contributions to the Bread Project demonstrate their commitment to addressing food insecurity in Johnson County. This support will allow Friends Feeding Friends to reach more families and provide them with the sustenance they need to thrive.
