At Johnson County Friends Feeding Friends (JC-FFF), we recently had the privilege of partnering with the dedicated students from Buffalo Christian Academy (BCA). As we received our first Wyoming Food Bank truck delivery of the season, the extra hands from BCA were not just appreciated—they were essential.
In the whirlwind of back-to-school activities, our team at JC-FFF is always stretched thin. That’s why the help from BCA came at the perfect time. The students rolled up their sleeves and took on the crucial task of unloading pallets of food, bringing each item inside, and organizing it in its proper location. Their hard work ensured that everything was set up efficiently and ready for distribution.
The energy didn’t stop there. With the truck unloaded and everything in its place, the students dedicated the final part of their volunteer hours to filling over 135 weekend bags. These bags are a vital resource for the children in our community, providing essential food supplies to families in need over the weekend. Thanks to the students’ commitment, many families will face the weekend with a little less worry.
Volunteering is more than just lending a hand—it’s a powerful learning experience. For the students at BCA, this was an opportunity to gain real-world skills in teamwork, organization, and community service. They learned firsthand how their efforts contribute to a larger cause, understanding the impact of their hard work on those around them. These experiences are invaluable, teaching lessons that go beyond the classroom and fostering a lifelong commitment to helping others.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Buffalo Christian Academy for their remarkable support. Your students’ enthusiasm and dedication have made a significant difference, and we are incredibly grateful for your partnership. Thank you for being a beacon of kindness and for helping us serve our community more effectively. We look forward to many more opportunities to work together in the future!
With heartfelt thanks.
