Johnson County Friends Feeding Friends Receives $25,000 Grant from the Tucker Foundation
Buffalo, WY – December 19, 2024 – Johnson County Friends Feeding Friends is thrilled to announce that it has been awarded a $25,000 grant from the Tucker Foundation to support its Weekend Food Bag Program. These generous funds will be used to purchase Optimum snack packs, which are an essential component of the weekend food bags sent home with local children facing food insecurity.
“We are incredibly grateful to the Tucker Foundation for this generous contribution,” said Breean Waller, Program Coordinator at Johnson County Friends Feeding Friends. “These funds are vital to the success of our weekend food program. The Optimum snack packs provide children with nourishing options that can sustain them during the weekend, making an incredible difference in their well-being. This grant will allow us to continue and expand our efforts to ensure no child in our community goes hungry.”
The Tucker Foundation’s support is an essential step toward maintaining and growing the impact of the Weekend Food Bag Program, which serves nearly 140 local children each week. As the demand for food assistance continues to grow, Johnson County Friends Feeding Friends is committed to ensuring that all children in the area have access to the resources they need to thrive.
