At Johnson County Friends Feeding Friends, we believe that kindness is more than just a virtue—it’s a powerful force that brings people together, uplifts communities, and plants seeds of hope in the hearts of those who need it most.
This week, we were incredibly honored to welcome the Buffalo High School Kindness Club to our packing facility. These amazing students didn’t just show up—they showed up with heart. They packed weekend food bags for local kids in need, making sure each one was filled not only with nourishing food but with something even more special: handwritten messages of kindness.
These thoughtful notes, tucked lovingly into each bag, will no doubt brighten the day of every child who reads them. Whether it’s a simple “You’ve got this!” or a cheerful doodle with a smile, it’s amazing what kind hearts can do when they get together. The Kindness Club reminded us that even small gestures—especially those made with sincerity—can have a big impact.
We are so happy and grateful that these young leaders chose to give their time, energy, and compassion to our program. Their presence filled the room with positivity and purpose, and their handwritten messages added a touch of joy that will ripple far beyond the walls of our building.
Thank you, Buffalo High School Kindness Club. Your kindness matters. And you reminded us all that when we lead with love, the world becomes a little brighter for everyone.
