FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Buffalo, WY – [3/25/2025] – Johnson County Friends Feeding Friends (JC-FFF) is thrilled to announce that it has received a generous $2,500 grant from the Rocky Mountain Power Foundation in support of its Fresh Fruit Project. This funding will allow JC-FFF to include fresh apples and oranges in every weekend food bag, ensuring that children in need have access to nutritious, high-quality produce.
The Fresh Fruit Project is a vital part of JC-FFF’s mission to combat food insecurity in Johnson County. Every week, the organization provides weekend food bags to local children, helping to bridge the gap for families facing food shortages. By adding fresh fruit to these bags, JC-FFF is not only addressing hunger but also promoting healthy eating habits for the youngest members of our community.
“We are incredibly grateful to the Rocky Mountain Power Foundation for their commitment to supporting food security in our region,” said Breean Waller, Program Coordinator for JC-FFF. “This grant directly impacts the health and well-being of the children we serve, ensuring they receive fresh, nutritious food alongside their regular weekend meals. Without grants like these, our program wouldn’t be able to flourish and support the Buffalo community as much as it does.”
The support from the Rocky Mountain Power Foundation highlights the power of partnerships in making a difference. JC-FFF extends heartfelt thanks to the foundation for recognizing the importance of fresh food access and for investing in the well-being of Johnson County’s children.
