Heather Gorman Haas was recognized as JC-FFF 2025 volunteer honoree during the Wyoming Hunger Initiative (WHI) Regional Summit in Buffalo on September 26th. The Summit was organized to bring hunger relief partners together to network and collaborate. We are deeply grateful for Heather’s leadership, compassion, and unwavering dedication, and we are proud to honor her for all she has given to JC-FFF. Pictured above is Jennie Gordon, First Lady of Wyoming and WHI founder, Heather Gorman Haas, Breean Waller former JC-FFF coordinator and now WHI NE Regional Director and Hunter Christensen, Senior Vice President of the Hughes Charitable Foundation.
In 2018 Heather convened an advisory board to address a critical need—expanding weekend food distribution to children in Johnson County facing food insecurity. Her vision, determination, and tireless work led to the creation of JC-FFF, and her impact has continued to grow ever since.
Over the years, Heather has worn many hats—President, Program Administrator, and the all-around “go-to” for anything and everything our organization has needed. She has poured countless hours into this program, always giving selflessly. Her commitment has ensured that hundreds of children and families in our community have access to one of life’s most basic needs: food. Heather is also known as our “spreadsheet queen,” meticulously tracking the numbers that keep our program strong and sustainable. Quite simply, without her, JC-FFF would not exist. With her, it has become more than we could have ever imagined.
